A cerimônia de entrega da primeira Certificação LIFE aconteceu durante o 3° Workshop Internacional de Negócios e Biodiversidade, no dia 05 de dezembro, no Centro de Convenções FIRJAN, Rio de Janeiro. E, foi entregue ao escritório de advocacia de Curitiba Gaia, Silva, Gaede & Associados
O escritório, que conta com 115 profissionais, e tem com principais impactos as emissões de carbono devido a viagens e deslocamentos de corpo de funcionários profissionais associados. Entre as ações implementadas está a parceria com a ONG SPVS. O escritório é apoiador na proteção da Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural – RPPN – Fazenda Santa Maria, situada no município de Antonina – PR, com cerca de 400 hectares. A área é parte importante para conservação do manancial de água que abastece toda a população de Antonina.

The first LIFE Certification issuance ceremony was held during the Third International Workshop on December 05th at the FIRJAN Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro. The Certification was given to the law firm based in Curitiba – Gaia, Silva, Gaede & Associados.
The major impacts from the firm – that hires 115 employees – are carbon emissions due to travel of staff members. Among the actions implemented by the firm one could mention the partnership with the NGO SPVS.
The firm supports the protection of the Private Natural Heritage Reserve – Fazenda Santa Maria -, managed by SPVS and located in the municipality of Antonina – Paraná- Brazil with an area of approximately 400 hectares. The reserve is important for the conservation of the reservoir that supplies the entire population of Antonina.
