10 May 2017

After approval in a bidding process, the LIFE Institute initiated a project with the Sanepar, Paraná Sanitation Company, for the application of LIFE Methodology in its operational unit, ETE São Jorge, located in the municipality of Almirante Tamandaré, metropolitan region of Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. The activity has replication potential for other company sites.

Sanepar is currently responsible for basic sanitation in cities in the State of Paraná, concentrating its activities on the largest continuous remnant of Mata Atlântica, one of the most threatened biomes in the world. The importance of this region reinforces the need for Sanepar’s actions in maintaining natural capital.
