Posigraf – Primeira Indústria reconhecida pela Certificação LIFE

Uma das maiores gráficas da América Latina, a Posigraf, é a primeira indústria brasileira a ser reconhecida pela Certificação LIFE. A cerimônia de entrega do certificado aconteceu no dia 14 de outubro, durante a 12ª Conferência das Partes da Convenção da Diversidade Biológica (COP 12), na Coréia do Sul, durante o side-event organizado pelo Instituto LIFE.

Para obtenção da Certificação LIFE, a Posigraf precisou ir além do cumprimento das normas legais e processos de gestão ambiental. A ação fundamental para a obtenção da certificação foi a adoção da Mata da Uru, reserva natural localizada no município da Lapa, que protege um importante remanescente natural da Floresta com Araucária no Estado do Paraná. Para essa ação, a Posigraf contou com a parceria da Sociedade de Pesquisa em Vida Selvagem e Educação Ambiental (SPVS).

Participaram da cerimônia de entrega, Alice Alexandre – diretora executiva do Instituto LIFE, Malu Nunes – membro do conselho do Instituto LIFE e Gerente de Sustentabilidade do Grupo Boticário, César Augusto Lima Costa – representante do Grupo Positivo. Também se fizeram presentes durante o side-event: Pavan Sukhdev – líder do estudo TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity), David Steuerman – Divisão de Negócios e Biodiversidade da Convenção da Diversidade Biológica, Roberto Cavalcanti – Secretário de biodiversidade e Florestas do Ministério do Meio Ambiente Brasileiro, Amanda Borges – Analista Ambiental – e Gislaine Garbelini – Gerente de Programas Ambientais – representantes da Petrobrás, e Regiane Borsato – coordenadora técnica do Instituto LIFE.

The ceremony in which Posigraf received the Certification took place on October 14th during the 12th Conference of Parties of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP-12) at the end of the side-event organized by LIFE Institute.

To obtain LIFE Certification, Posigraf went beyond legal requirement and environmental management processes. The main action carried out by the organization was the adaptation of a Reserve at the Forest of Uru located in Parana (Brazil) at one of the last natural remaining of Araucaria Forest. The action is implemented in partnership with the Brazilian NGO SPVS -Society for Wildlife Research and Environmental Education.
