Following the completion of the technical adaptation of LIFE Methodology for Paraguay, using official country data for the estimation of the use of natural resources and the current state of local priorities for conservation. The consolidation of the LIFE Initiative in the country occurred with the accreditation of the first certification body to operate the system outside Brazil. As a result, Itaipu Binational, contracted the first third-party LIFE audit, being the first Paraguayan company to undergo the independent evaluation process. On the other hand, the LIFE Methodology is already in use in the country by companies that have acquired LIFE Key software in order to internalize the management of natural capital. In 2018, LIFE Institute initiates a series of agendas in Paraguay to expand the dissemination and training of managers, consultants and auditors.
